Wild Spur Kennels German Shorthair Pointers is located in Eastern North Dakota just west of Grand Forks. We are a small Kennel with the goal of producing the BEST German shorthaired pointer’s, not the most. 

We breed our german shorthaired pointers for Style Temperament and Desire in our dogs. Our goal is to provide a German shorthair for the foot hunter as well as making a great addition to the family. We have looked all over North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, Iowa and Kansas to find the best German shorthairs we could find to add to the dogs we already had. 

We sell German Shorthair puppies, German Shorthaired started dogs, German Shorthair finished dogs and have an German Shorthair stud service available. We have German Shorthairs with all colors such as solid black, black & white liver roan solid liver, liver and white.

Being hunters ourselves we know what it takes to train a great German shorthair pointer our dogs have to hunt what we hunt not only, Sharp tail grouse & pheasant but morning doves, ducks & geese our German Shorthair pointers have no problem taking and retrieving from water. 

All of our GSP’s our raised in a socialized family environment, they are allowed to run together and play and swim to promote a healthy interaction and friendliness. 

Socialization is one of the most important things any one can do with a young GSP. 

The dogs that we keep not only go hunting with us they ride in tractors, pickups, and four wheelers. Our German short hair’s even go fishing with us so they can get use to all of the distractions they will see when they go to the field they are ready to hunt and our not worried about a new site or sound they might hear.
